I’m not here to be the biggest — just the best.
And if you’re the kind of rider who expects your bike to perform flawlessly, you’re exactly who I do it for.
Hi — I’m Jenko
I’ve been obsessed with bikes since I could walk. I’ve chased adrenaline down mountains, raced brutal terrain, and broken plenty of parts along the way. I know what a good ride feels like — and I know what holds it back.
But I’m not just a rider. I’m also an engineer. With a mechanical engineering background and years of hands-on technical experience, I bring that same precision and problem-solving mindset into every job.
Jenko’s Bikeshed exists to give serious bikes the care they deserve — and for riders who won’t settle for less.
Why I Do This
A lot of bike servicing is rushed and under-skilled. Not here.
Your suspension isn’t guesswork. Your drivetrain isn’t “close enough.”
At Jenko’s Bikeshed, it’s personal.
Every bike gets the same attention I give my own: clean workspace, proper tools, full focus.
“I brought in my Yeti after months of weird creaks and ghost shifts that no one else could fix. Not only did he find the issue straight away, but the attention to detail was insane. He explained everything clearly, and the bike came back absolutely silent. It rides better now than when it was new.”

FAQ — Straight Answers for Serious Riders
Got a question? You’re probably not the first. Here are a few of the things riders ask us most.
🔧 Do I need to clean my bike before dropping it off?
Short answer: It helps.
Long answer: A clean bike lets us work faster, more precisely, and spot potential issues more easily. If it’s not clean, no problem — we’ll take care of it. But we do charge for deep cleaning when needed.
📦 Can I send my bike to you by courier?
Yes — absolutely.
We regularly receive bikes from across the UK. Just get in touch first so we can walk you through packing guidelines and confirm turnaround time. We treat couriered bikes with the same care as local ones — down to the final torque.
⏱️ How long does servicing take?
Depends on the job — but you’ll always get a clear, honest ETA.
- Most suspension services: 2-5 working days
- Full bike overhauls: 5-7 working days
We never rush — but we never leave you waiting longer than necessary either.
🚲 What brands and components do you work on?
We specialise in high-end mountain bikes only. That includes:
- Suspension: FOX, RockShox, Ohlins, EXT
- Groupsets: Shimano XT/XTR, SRAM GX/XX1, electronic drivetrains
- Brakes: Hope, SRAM, Shimano, TRP, Magura
We also tune custom builds, boutique brands, and eMTBs — but if your bike isn’t in that realm, we’ll politely point you to someone better suited.
🔍 Can you just take a quick look at my bike?
We get it — something feels “off” and you’re not sure what it is.
Yes, we offer diagnostic inspections. They’re in-depth, not rushed, and include a full breakdown of what we find — no upselling, just honest advice. Think of it like a health check, not a guess.
🤝 Do you offer guarantees on your work?
Yes — always.
All work is guaranteed against fitting errors and workmanship faults. If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right. That’s non-negotiable.
💬 Can I talk to you before booking?
Definitely.
We encourage it. Every rider, every bike, and every setup is different. Just drop us a message — we’ll listen, ask a few questions, and help you figure out what’s best.
🧰 Do you use genuine parts and fluids?
Every time.
We don’t cut corners, use cheap spares, or “make do.” Your bike gets genuine parts, correct torque specs, and the right suspension fluids — because that’s what it was built for.
💬 Still have a question?
Let’s talk. Whether it’s something simple or something strange — we’re here to help.
